Medical Assistant

Location: Scott Maurer, MD

We’re looking for a reliable, well-organized Medical Assistant to be a member of our practice’s medical team.
 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Scheduling appointments

Answering all phone calls and routing to appropriate personnel

Communicating and collaborating with the medical staff team to achieve common patient goals

Maintaining detailed administrative and medical records in our EMR system

Preparing examination rooms and monitoring supply levels

Performing other medical and administrative duties as assigned effectively and efficiently

Providing and coordinating office-based care including preparing patients for examination, performing routine diagnostic tests, screenings, gathering patient history, and administering vaccinations

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate from an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program or currently enrolled. Work experience can be substituted for education requirement

Medical experience of at least 1-2 years

Experience with an electronic health record system

Available to work full time Monday to Friday 7:30AM to 4:15PM, and live within a reasonable commuting distance to our office

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and have exceptional skills with decision making, multitasking, and prioritization

A team player wanting to improve the health and wellbeing of all patients

Compensation and benefits:

Starting salary range from $22.50 to $25.00 / hr according to experience and performance
