Medical practice seeks an experienced full-time Medical Assistant.
We are looking for an energetic, experienced assistant who is looking for a fast paced work environment.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Take and record vitals and medications in EMR
Set up, clean up and disinfect all patient exam and procedure rooms
Check in patients
Prep patients and assist with transfer to and from exam tables when needed
Assist physicians with procedures and examinations as needed
Administer medications and injections
Order and maintain supply inventories and stock exam and procedure rooms
Collect and process urine specimens for analysis, culture and cytology tests
Sterilize equipment
Process medication pre-authorization requests from Pharmacies
Receive patient calls and triage to others as needed
Close work within EMR system to retrieve and file lab results and other reports for doctors’ review
Review schedules in advance to insure receipt of labs or other reports prior to appointments
Qualifications:
Knowledge and use of proper PPE
Physical requirements: cannot have limitations on standing, bending, lifting throughout an 8 hour work day
Ability to multitask in a busy office environment
Organized and efficient with excellent follow up and follow through on all tasks
Demonstrates the ability to care for and communicate well with all patients, doctors and coworkers
