- Conduct physical exams and provide preventative health measures for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and X-rays.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals and specialists.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, medication compliance, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) to document patient encounters, progress, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare laws and ethical standards.
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Louisiana.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Family Nurse Practitioner) by a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP, ANCC).
- Proficiency in performing clinical procedures and strong diagnostic skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
